In The Shallows Seahorse Cushion
by Susan Cowper
The in the shallows seahorse cushion was a fun project to design for Simply Knitting. I wanted to design the cushion to be in the shape of a seahorse.
Sirdar, Imagination Chunky is fantastic yarn and knits up quickly. The speckledness of the yarn gives a great look to this project. Imagination Chunky comes in eight great colours; I used Enchanted 1 and Folklore 5.
Most of the cushion is knitted in one, but the eyes, dorsal fin and and coronets are knitted separately and sewn on.
The main body of the seahorse has a simple pattern with inverted rows to create a ridged effect.
I think fans of David Attenborough’s Blue Planet, are going to love this delightful cushion.
If you make this cushion, I’d love to see.
