In the Garden Throw
Heirloom-project alert! Bold mosaic flowers in two sizes pop against the classic white background of the In the Garden Throw. Sections of plain double crochet are placed between the flower sections to provide relief for the eye and the crocheter alike. The yarn is cleverly cut after each row to become fringe, resulting in very few ends to weave in.

NOTES
-
Leave a 6” length at the beginning and end of each row in each color. These tails will become the fringe.
-
Start each row with a slipknot on your hook to create a solid first stitch.
-
Flower rows are worked with larger hook, plain main color (MC) sections are worked with smaller hook.
-
Work all rows with one color and right side (RS) facing unless otherwise stated.
-
Single crochets are worked in back loops only (blo), except for first and last stitches of each row.
-
Double crochets are worked in front loops only (flo).
-
Colors alternate each row.
-
Read the chart from the bottom up and from right to left for each row.
-
Squares in columns before and after the chart indicate which color is worked for that row.
-
When reading the stitches of a row, always work your current color as single crochet blo unless there is an “x” in your current color stitch rectangle to be worked as a double crochet flo in indicated stitch 2 rows below, ignoring any other color “overlapping” your stitch/row.
