Ice Chalet Cowl
This pattern is included in my new book, Cozy Cables. You can purchase the printed book here.
This design harkens back to trips to the ski lodge when I was a child. I would stare out the frosted windows with their Swiss chalet–shaped panes as I sipped my cocoa. The Ice Chalet Cowl will keep you toasty out on the slopes or inside the ski chalet. It features a center cable panel that travels outward and inward over a slipped stitch background. An icy-cool effect is achieved with complex cable stitches. Dip your toes into some crochet techniques like slip stitches and chains with the button band and loops. But please feel free to omit this finishing step and use frog-style closures to complete your cowl. This pattern is charted and includes written instructions.
CONSTRUCTION
This cowl is worked back and forth on straight needles. The ribbing is picked up next and the button band and loops are created last with a crochet hook. Again, feel free to omit this finishing step and use frog-style closures to complete your cowl instead.
