"Hurricane" Tie-back Tunic
The origin of the Hurricane Tie Back Tunic was basically a couple skeins of yarn with no project and an interesting cable pattern. I was dying to use the cable pattern, which reminds me of the little hurricane symbols they use on weather maps. Being a native Floridian, hurricanes are a yearly source of stress and fascination. And don’t get me started on skeins lying around with no purpose. It’s like having change in my pocket. I can’t rest until I’ve found a way to use them.
My excess yarn happened to be a lovely shade of kettle dyed blue, which worked well for a hurricane theme. The pattern features very long straps that can be tied in a variety of ways for different looks.
