Why not cheer it up with a hungry tadpole or two swimming amongst a group of waterlilies?
Not only can you have fun waggling your tadpoles around the place, but your lily pads can also double as fun coasters!

It only involves knitting flat and this pattern is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter

What you will need:
Tadpole:
10-20g black or dark gray yarn for the body
10g red or pink yarn for the mouth
5g white yarn for the eyeballs
2 black toy safety eyes (6mm)
Polyfil
Big Lily Pad:
20g bright or dark green yarn
Small Lily Pad:
10-15g light or pale green yarn
General:
2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
1 tapestry needle for finishing
Skills used:
Casting on and off
Increasing
Decreasing
Stitches used:
Stocking stitch
