Pom Pom visited the studio of Emma Price of In The Wool Shed to experiment with dip-dyeing with Rhubarb. With this pattern and our dip-dye tutorial you can knit and dye your own simple ombré rib scarf. The instructions for dip-dyeing can be found in Pom Pom Issue 18, The Natural Dyes Issue.
One size: 27.5 cm / 10¾” wide x 190cm / 74¾”
Yarn: In The Wool Shed DK Bluefaced Leicester (DK/light worsted weight, 100% British wool, 224 m / 244 yds per 100 g skein)
Shade: Natural x 2 skeins, dip-dyed with Rhubarb.
Gauge: 19 sts & 25 rows = 10 cm / 4” over rib pattern on 5 mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 5 mm / US 8 knitting needles
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notes: Do not spin, do not tumble dry, reshape whilst damp.
