This casual, cozy design is a fun twist on the classic Aran sweater. Worked in a rustic, breed-specific yarn, it feels both traditional and contemporary. You’ll love the relaxed styling and comfy sophistication.
A note about fit: I recommend 2”/2.5cm or more of positive ease. You may experiment with adjusting sizing by adjusting gauge, i.e. using a smaller or larger needle size to produce more or fewer sts per inch and thus change the size of the sweater a bit. Feel free to email me at the address in the pattern for help with this.

Gauge
Gauge for this sweater varies greatly over the different stitches and directions. For matching purposes, work a swatch of reverse stockinette, in the round, using Main Fabric needles. Gauge is taken after blocking. 21 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm.
Each section of the Bubbles in the Round cable (18 sts) should equal 3”/7.5cm worked in the round on Main Fabric needles taken after blocking.

Needles
Ribbing: Size US 4/3.5mm 32”/80cm (or longer) circular needle.
Main Fabric: size US 7/4.5mm 32”/80cm (or longer) circular needle.
Small Circumference: Your preferred needles for small circumference knitting in both sizes.
Note Use the needle size needed to achieve gauge; going down 3 US sizes/1-1.5mm for ribbing.
