Honeycomb Waves Blanket
I really liked the honeycomb effect of the Circle Socks I made a few years back. But, I couldn’t find a pattern for a blanket that had that same look.
The closest I could find was Blythe. This is a beautiful blanket, but it still wasn’t what I was looking for…the honeycombs were too small and in garter stitch from what I could tell. Also, the thought of making lots of squares that I would have to piece together made me cringe! I’m a knitter, not a seamstress!
Lizard Ridge is also extremely cool and has a similar look, but relies on gazillions of short rows that I do not have the patience for…
So, with a little improvising and trial & error, Honeycomb Waves was born. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
P.S. I added a picture of a sweater adaptation I did based off of this pattern…maybe someday I’ll write that one up too!
