Honeycomb Leadlight Vest
Simple in shape, this two-coloured vest begins with a corrugated rib for interest and texture. The complex looking front and back 16 row repeat pattern is easily achieved with stocking stitch and slip stitch. Like a stained glass effect, the black slipped stitches edge and outline each honeycomb ‘window’. This vest features a scoop neckline for easy wearability, easy short row shoulder shaping for better fit and neat finish, a 3 needle bind off and an armhole bridge to show-off the corrugated ribbing.
You need 2 Zauberballs and less than half of the 200g BWM ball.
Of course you can use any 5 ply, but the effect of the dyed vibrancy of the Zauberball gives that lovely stained glass effect.
There are 3 size options - to fit busts up to 86cm/34”, 96.5cm/38” and 106.5cm/42”.
DPNs can be used to hold and work stitches at the shoulders.
Extra gauge information: In corrugated ribbing, 22sts to 10cm/4” on 4mm needles.
Vest has up to 5cm/2in positive ease
