Homestead Toque
MATERIALS 
 US6 (4mm) 16” circular needles and DPNs 
US8 (5mm) 16” circular needles 
 143 yards worsted weight yarn - sample used Dust Cloud from Sweet Pea & Sparrow 
 Darning needle, 2 stitch markers - one to indicate the beginning of the round and one to indicate the end of the main panel of cables 
 Scissors, cable needle, measuring tape 
 Favorite cup of coffee or tea to enjoy while you relax! 
 Don’t forget that new show you wanted to catch up on. 
GAUGE 
4”x4” - 18 sts by 24 rows in Stockinette on US8 (5mm) needles. This hat has quite a bit of horizontal stretch, so making sure to meet the row gauge is most important when swatching your yarn.
FIT: 
The overall measurements of the piece: 7” wide and 9” tall. The cover photo highlights the front cable panel and the photo on page 7 shows the simple stitching used around the rest of the toque.
DIFFICULTY 
This pattern is best suited for an Advanced Knitter. Knowledge of working complex cables, working in round, and decreasing in the round is required to complete this pattern.
