Construction Notes: “This shoulder bag consists of two lace hexagons joined together on four sides by a double fabric gusset strip. The gusset continues and becomes the shoulder strap. The other two sides of each hexagon are finished with I-Cord and fold over to close the bag, with the outer flap secured by a decorative button. A washable fabric is used for the lining for easy care and to highlight the lace itself.”

  2. Only odd rnds are marked on the chart. knit all sts on even rnds.
  3. See Techniques, p. 162, for circular beginnings, sl2tog-k1-p2sso, and St st grafting.
