Hex
I created this blanket based on a blanket I saw in an episode of 7th Heaven. Matt and John are living in the studio apartment and a blanket on John’s bed inspired what follows here. A richly textured piece with join as you go motifs. I worked the blanket in worsted weight yarn using an “I” hook, as a gift for my husband. The smaller hook is what makes the texture come alive, so for that reason gauge will matter. Working with lighter weight yarn and a smaller hook would be nice for a lap robe or baby blanket as well. Please read everything before beginning to educate yourself on the new stitch in here and the methods I use for beginning a motif and changing colors. The model was worked in I Love This Yarn! in black, white, graybeard and red.
