Herringbone Hands
by Margo Bauman
Andante: in a moderately slow tempo
The weather is getting cooler – time to slow down. Snuggle your hands in these mitts while relaxing under a blanket and enjoying your favorite warm drink.
The Herringbone Half Double Crochet is most often done in rows. I’ve used it in this pattern in rounds, resulting in a very different textural pattern.
Finished size:
7.5”/19.1cm around (just above cuff)
8”/20.3cm long (bottom of cuff to top of finger area)
Even though Andante is listed as worsted weight, I would say it is in the heavy worsted/aran category. A “skinny” worsted will not give you the same result.
