Helstone Shawl
This beautiful Shetland lace shawlette is made from one skein of either lace or sock yarn. In my samples, I used yarns with a silk content so that the drape and softness of the finished shawl is gorgeous! You will not be able to stop wearing it
The lace version is knit in garter stitch to give it more body and stability and the sock version is made in stocking stitch with a garter stitch border.
I used a simple stretchy bind off, there is a video here if you’d like to try the same one.
Lace Version Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Lace (50g 439 yards/400 metres of yarn approx). Shawl used 43g of yarn in total.
Needles: 3mm circular needles
Sock Version Yarn: Life in the Long Grass Silk Merino Sock (100g 437 yards/400 metres of yarn approx). Shawl used 93g of yarn in total.
Needles: 3.5mm circular needles
