Hedgerow is a cozy raglan cardigan with fabulously round pockets! It’s a brambly sweater that’s perfect for all of your autumn and winter rambles, whether you like exploring the great outdoors, your local yarn store, bakery, or even the pages of a good book in your from the comfort of your favorite chair.

Plus it’s the perfect emotional support knit for the busy holiday season!

Hedgerow is worked seamlessly from the top down. The sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm to the cuff, and the pockets are worked flat and seamed in place at the end.

SIZING AND MATERIALS

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4)(5, 6, 7)(8, 9, 10)

Finished chest circumference: 34 (37.5, 42.5, 46)(50, 53.5, 58.5)(62, 66, 69.5)” / 85 (94, 106, 115)(125, 134, 146.5)(155, 165, 174)cm
Choose a size with 4-6” / 10-15cm of positive ease.

Yarn: Woolen Tweed, held double (or other fingering weight yarn held double) approx. 1700 (1900, 2100, 2300)(2500, 2700, 2900)(3100, 3300, 3600) yards / 1630 (1820, 2020, 2200)(2400, 2600, 2780)(2980, 3170, 3460) meters.

You could also use a single strand of your favorite worsted weight yarn, in which case you would need approx. 850 (950, 1050, 1150)(1250, 1350, 1450)(1550, 1650, 1800) yards / 820 (910, 1010, 1100)(1200, 1300, 1390)(1490, 1585, 1730) meters.

Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows in 4”/10cm with larger needle in stockinette stitch.

Needles: US #9/ 5.5mm and US #7 / 4.5mm 16” and 32” circulars— or size needed to obtain gauge + 2 sizes smaller.

Notions: 1 BOR marker, 3 additional markers, 5-7 3/4” buttons, yarn needle.
