The Heavenly Brew Christmas Angel tea cosy packes Christmas charm in a wonderful tea cosy that looks like a stunning Christmas Angel. If you don’t use a teapot, this angel could be stood over something to make a delightful christmas decoration.

I looked at a lot of Christmas cards and images for inspiration for the tea cosy. I wanted the whole tea cosy to become the angel, but I needed inspiration as to what the angel would do with their arms.

In Christmas carols, the angels talk and sing a lot, but I thought as a messenger of God, maybe they need to be bugling to get attention before they speak. I also wanted to give my angel light because I always think of them as lit up entities, and light is seen as good and godly. The little lantern is such a lovely touch, it gives a soft glow to the tea cosy on a dark winter’s afternoon, and it makes the whole tea cosy feel magical. The lantern is so easy to make, you could even make the lanterns in assorted colours to hang on the Christmas tree.

The angel wings and trim at the bottom edge of the tea cosy are made with beautiful Sirdar Touch Eskimo. This yarn is super soft and knits up like a dream. It gives the angel an amazing feathery look.

The Heavenly Brew tea cosy is a great Christmas project to knit and is sure to enchant your visitors this Christmas. Go on, knit yourself one.
