Heatwave Shawl
This shawl was intended to be versatile enough to be worn in summer, yet changeable enough to suit a variety of styles.
The fun ‘wave’ design was inspired after I came across an incomplete crochet chart that reminded me of heatwaves rising off hot pavement. These waves created a lightweight design perfect for summertime!
Pattern Notes:
• Length of pattern can be increased/decreased by a multiple of 7 stitches. Full pattern length fits XL size with loose fit, but made this length to maintain versatility in styling. If only desired to wear as a shrug/jacket style decrease as desired.
• Stitch markers are extremely helpful in determining stitch counts with this pattern and stitch placement following open lace work segments.
• Buttons can be omitted if desired. They are used for a versatile styling and are not essential to finishing.
