Some days burn brighter than others. Heartflame is a hat for when you’re running hot on love, fire, or sheer will. Bold and quick to knit, it’s made to keep the heat in.

The finished hat is 20¼ (23¼ )”/ 51.5 (59)
cm around and 8½ (8¾)”/ 21.5 (22) cm deep. To fit with 1-2”/ 2.5-5 cm negative ease.

Materials:
Sweet Paprika Winfield, 2-ply worsted weight yarn, 100% Canadian wool, 245y/ 224m; 110g/ 4 oz. in 2 colours:
• MC, Orchid = 122 (144) y/ 112 (131) m
• CC, Shiitake = 122 (144) y/ 112 (131) m

Tools:
US 6 (4 mm) 16”/ 40 cm circular and double pointed needles or needle size necessary to obtain gauge; US 7 (4.5 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needles, or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needle; stitch marker; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
22 sts/23 rnds over 4”/10 cm with larger needles in stranded stockinette in the round, blocked.
