Under the tree in the Gryffindor common room is a hand knit wool sweater emblazed with an H for Harry. An avid knitter, Mrs. Weasley welcomes Harry into their family with this classic sweater.

Commencing with a tricolored corrugated brim, cheerful sweaters knit in stranded colorwork with Harry’s initial encircle the body of the hat. Knit from the bottom up, modern holly motifs dusted with snow bookend the sweaters, while the rest of the hat is knit in solid stockinette in the round. Easy spiral decreases shape the crown.
