Please read the description in full before purchasing.
I have been making these gorgeous modern pixie bonnets for my daughter for the past 18 months and have decided to share them with the world. This pattern is for a unisex design. The simple self striping means it can be worn by both boys and girls. You can make it in what ever colour/colours take your fancy. The design incorporates a chin strap to keep the bonnet in place and ears toasty warm.

Fit: Pixie Bonnets are made to be a fitted style. The ages and head sizes given are an indication only, if your child is smaller or larger than the average child in their age range please make the next size up or down. Crochet by nature creates an ‘elastic’ garment so you may find your Bonnet fits for longer than the age ranges/head sizes given.
Yarn: 8ply/DK weight yarn of cotton, wool or a soft blend. You will require approximately 1-2x50gm balls dependant on gauge.
Example yarns: Lincraft Cotton, Bendigo Woollen Mills or Patons totem merino.
Hook: Size 4AU/G6US/8UK or whichever you need to achieve gauge.
Supplies: a button, stitch markers x2 and a yarn needle
Easy basic level pattern, American terminology. You will need knowledge of basic crochet stitches such as HDC, DC, and invisible decreases. Pattern uses Chainless foundation DC.
