Hardanger Granny Blanket
by Sue Pinner
A granny square blanket inspired by the garden swing seat printed cover.
It looks like Hardanger embroidery so hence the name, someone suggested on Instagram
Can be made into a 16” cushion with 2 blocks or a large 50” square blanket with 9 blocks
Robin Paintbox in Masala red/coral and one plain OR Aran tweed. Hayfield breeze in Atlantis blue/green is another option.
4mm hook or 5mm hook..this yarn is quite thick and can be mixed with Aran tweed
It also looks great in Wendy Aurora another thicker dk that i use a 5mm hook with mixed again with Aran tweed as a plain colour.
You can also make a 2 x 3 block blanket and use less yarn.
