Harbor View
Inspired by rippling waters and piers, Harbor View combines classic and modern elements to make a design that is interesting to knit and to wear. Best of all, it is even reversible! One side features an asymmetric cabled pattern combined with columns of stockinette. The reverse is a more simple, but interesting ribbed pattern.
The length of the scarf can be easily adjusted by adding or subtracting repeats. As knit, the scarf took slightly more than 4 skeins to make scarf that was 79 inches long. 4 skeins would still make a nice, long scarf.
A lighter weight, worsted yarn could also be used, but be aware that the dimensions would be different.
This pattern is ideally suited to cabling without a cable needle and there are tutorials showing how to do this. Both charts and written directions are provided.
