Please join me at my table in the old-fashioned French tavern, called guinguette! The colourful string lights above us recall the pompoms in the shawl, the simple menu is the easy textured stitch pattern, and the colours are yours to choose.

Guinguette is a crescent-shaped shawl where the upper edge curves around your shoulders. The bottom edge is a picot hem adorned with pompoms.

Size: Height at center approx 40 cm/15.75”; wingspan approx 165 cm/65” after blocking

The pattern is written, with photos to illustrate the finishing instructions.

The shawls in the pictures where worked in Annette Petavy Design fingering weight merino.
You will need approx. 600m (657yds) of the main colour and 200m (219yds) of each of the 3 contrast colours.

Making the 3.5cm (1 3/8”) pompoms will be much easier if using a pompom tool.

Asseyez-vous à table dans ma Guinguette ! Des pompons qui font penser aux guirlandes lumineuses des restaurants sans chi-chis, un point texturé facile, des couleurs à votre goût - c’est ma recette pour un tricot plaisir !

Guinguette est un châle en demi-lune, au bord supérieur incurvé. Son bord inférieur est un ourlet créant des picots, agrémenté de pompons colorés.

Dimensions : hauteur au centre env 40 cm ; envergure env 165 cm.

Les explications sont données par écrit, avec des photos pour illustrer les finitions.

Le châle a été tricoté avec le mérinos fin disponible dans la boutique.

Ce fil peut être remplacé par un autre fil en laine type fin/fingering, à 200m/50g.

Il vous faudra env 600 mètres de la couleur de fond, et 200 mètres de chacun des 3 coloris contrastants.

La réalisation des pompons de 3,5 cm de diamètre est largement facilitée par l’utilisation d’un appareil à pompons.
