The halo of kid mohair is like a fine mist and works well with the simple lines of this interesting slip stitch pattern. Paired with easy garter stitch and simple shaping, a favorite of mine for beach or TV knitting.

SHAPE/CONSTRUCTION-- An asymmetrical triangle shape worked end to end on the bias.
MEASUREMENTS-- Width: 80”/203 cm - Depth: 18”/51 cm.
YARN RECOMMENDATIONS- Best worked in a sturdy lace or fingering weight yarn.
The sample shown showcases a multicolored mohair as the background to a semi solid hand dyed merino.
MC - Cape May Fibers Butterfly Lace (80% extra fine merino, 20% silk) - 875 yds per 100 g skein in Pink Sand. CC - Cape May Fibers Kid Silk Lace (74% kid mohair, 26% mulberry silk)-459 yds per 50g skein in Bay Scallops.
Approximate yarn amounts used:
MC: 65 g /570 yds CC: 25 g /220 yds
NEEDLES- US 4 (3.75mm) or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
GAUGE- 22 sts 40 rows = 4”/10cm in garter st, blocked. (Gauge is not essential for this project but will affect the final size and amount of yarn used).
