Greenlace Shawl is a beginner-friendly project designed for knitters who are still a little green when it comes to lace. The pattern starts with simple stockinette, gradually introduces lace, and builds up to a more intricate motif before easing back into garter stitch. It’s a gentle and satisfying way to explore lace without feeling overwhelmed. The shawl is adaptable in size and can be made with just one or two skeins of fingering weight yarn.

Sizes
The pattern includes instructions for two sizes:
Small (1 skein): approx. 48” (122 cm) wide by 21” (53 cm) high
Large (2 skeins): approx. 63” (160 cm) wide by 28” (71 cm) high

Size can be further adjusted by working more or fewer repeats.

Yarn and yardage
1 (2) skeins of Sweet Paprika Messa Di Voce (fingering weight, 3.5 oz (100g) / 460 yds (420 m) per skein).

Yardage can vary according to your gauge and to your desired
dimensions.

Recommended yardage: 400 to 920 yards (366 to 841 m) of
fingering weight. The pictured sample used approximately 860
yards (786 m) of yarn.

Gauge
24 sts x 39 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
22 sts x 38 rows = 4” (10 cm) in lace pattern
Gauge can vary.

Difficulty
Advanced beginner or beginner lace knitter: uses basic stitches and simple lace techniques (yarn over, slip slip knit, knit 2 together, knit 3 together).

Le châle Greenlace est un projet accessible aux débutants, conçu pour celles et ceux qui commencent à explorer la dentelle au tricot. Le tricot débute en jersey, introduit progressivement des sections ajourées, puis mène à un motif plus complexe avant de se terminer en point mousse. C’est une façon douce et progressive d’aborder la dentelle. Le châle est adaptable en taille et peut être réalisé avec un ou deux écheveaux de laine de poids super fin (fingering).

Tailles
Le patron comprend des instructions pour deux tailles :

Petit (1 écheveau) : environ 122 cm (48 po) de largeur sur 53 cm (21 po) de hauteur
Grand (2 écheveaux) : environ 160 cm (63 po) de largeur sur 71 cm (28 po) de hauteur

Les instructions pour créer un châle d’une taille différente sont également incluses.

1 (2) écheveau(x) de Sweet Paprika Messa Di Voce (poids super fin / fingering, 100 g (3,5 oz) / 420 m (460 vg) par écheveau).

Le métrage peut varier selon votre échantillon et les dimensions voulues.

Métrage recommandé : de 366 à 841 m (400 à 920 yd) de fil de poids super fin. Le châle photographié a utilisé environ 786 m (860 vg) de fil.
