Meet Granny Octagon - Simply stunning spring project ;)
It is as easy as it looks as it consists of dc2tog’s and some tr2tog’s sprinkled in between.
And you can pick the layout with half squares or trapeziums to smoothen off the edge! I do prefer the trapeziums as somehow the same blanket look more playful that way..

Pattern pdf consists of 14 pages of:

• written instructions (US crochet terms);
• picture for each round. including: octagon, square and part shapes for smoothing edges to both arrangement options. Shapes are joined using jayg method and same dc2tog’s are used for edging the blanket.
