Grandpa Cardigan
This cute shawl collar cardigan is made from the top down using a simple half double crochet stitch. Then joining to make the edging and sleeves, in a single crochet rib. It is quick and easy to work up.
Materials
Hobbii Kind Feather Shade Light Brown 25 (235 metres per 100g)
3.5 and 4 mm crochet hooks
3-6 x 15-20 mm buttons
Stitch markers
Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK terms
sc = single crochet (double crochet UK)
hdc = half double crochet (half treble crochet UK)
blo = back loop only (crochet into the back loop of the stitch)
slst = slip stitch
ch = chain
= in the same stitch
* * = repeat between
Gauge
18 hdc and 10 rows = 4” x 4”
