Pattern Description from Faith, Hope, Love, Knitting: “Lace doilies were Grandma Helen’s favorite knitting project, but I decided to celebrate her with a lace shawl instead. I made my design in a soft shade of green, a color that looked beautiful on her, and used her ‘crocheted-off’ edging - I call it ‘Helen’s Loopy Bind-Off’ - rather than a conventional knitted bind-off. I don’t know whether Grandma made up the edging herself or learned it from someone, but it makes a beautiful, delicate, and flexible edging for the shawl.”
