Welcome to Good Pig! What a charming new friend for us. Good Pig joins the line of my “good” characters including Good Bear, Good Bunny, Good Frog, and Good Mouse. I have a few more good friends up my sleeve in the future. What’s so fun about this series of knit toys is that they all follow the same structure, which keeps it simple if you are making them all. The toys all have slight changes along the way to make them into a certain animal. The clothes are all interchangeable between characters, too. It seems knitters are enjoying the Good series of toys as much as I am. Good Pig is just adorable and I know you’ll love this new pig!

Pattern Notes
Good Pig is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom-up starting with the legs. The legs are joined together and the body is worked to the neck. Purl bumps are placed as markers for picking up the arms. The back of the head is then worked back and forth in a heel-flap fashion. The stitches are then picked up along the sides of the flap and combined with stitches from the front of the body. The face and nose are completed in the round. The eyes are placed along the way. The ears, arms and tail are picked up and knit on. Due to the construction, the nose naturally tips up a little adding charm to the toy.

The custom made-to-fit clothes include a jumpsuit, shirt, cardigan and hat. All of the clothes are worked separately, mainly in the round other than the cardigan body and the front and back of the jumpsuit.

Finished Measurement
Good Pig is 8-inches tall from the toe to the top of the head.
The clothes are all custom made to fit the toy.
