I was honored to receive an invitation to be a challenger in Design Wars 6 and this vintage style houndstooth jacket was my submission. :)

I’ve had the idea for this jacket rolling around in my head for the past 14 months, but just recently I’ve fallen in love with the 1960’s…what perfect timing! This is such a fun, functional and stylish jacket! Perfect for any time of the year and great for dressy and casual wear.

The chosen yarn for Design Wars 6 was Red Heart With Love. The jackets in these photos were made using RHWL, but my pattern testers used a variety of WW/4 yarns.

Pattern Sizes Included: 12 months thru 10 years

This pattern is 32 pages long and includes many tips, suggestions and photo tutorials to help with construction. The pattern is classified as an Intermediate pattern, but an advanced beginner can complete if they’re comfortable with reading patterns.

Yardage listed is the total for both colors. You use approximately equal parts of both colors. Details are in the pattern.
