Girlang is a tailored relaxed Ziggurat pullover with slightly cropped sleeves and a simple leafy garland on the yoke and cuffs.

This is a Ziggurat with a small twist. You knit the collar first and then cast on and knit each shoulder in turn.
It is also an opportunity to try out stranded colourwork if this is something you have been contemplating but not yet jumped into.

The pattern sleeve length is 7/8-length. A split ribbed hem gives your hips free play and makes sure your sweater doesn’t rest on your bum.

• Ziggurat: everything is knitted in one go, top to bottom
• no seaming (well… the live cuff stitches are sewn to the inside)
• very few ends to weave in
• optional bust dart

As usual, there’s the Helpful Table to keep track of increases from shoulder to underarm cast-on.
