Gilda is a top-down sweater with a rounded neckline and an elegant lace stitch. You begin by casting on the stitches for the back, for each shoulder point, then cast on for the neckline and work on the back panel. You pick up stitches on each shoulder point, then join them at the front and work the front panel. You begin working in the round from under the armhole for the body of the sweater. You then pick up the stitches for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. The neckline edge is folded over, while the body and sleeve borders feature a special ribbed border. I’m wearing size M-L. The measurements for the sweater’s circumference are given in cm for the finished and washed garment, so you can evaluate the ease you want to achieve by comparing it with your bust circumference.

Needles: circular knitting needles with 4 mm points or of desired number for gauge, circular knitting needles with 3,5 mm points for the borders
Gauge: 16 sts x 22 rows in 10 x 10 cm in pattern

Gilda è una maglia lavorata top-down, con uno scollo stondato e un punto traforato elegante. Si avviano prima le maglie dietro per ogni singolo punto spalla, per poi avviare quello dello scollo e lavorare sul pannello dietro. Si riprendono le maglie su ciascun punto spalla, per poi unirle sul davanti e lavorare il pannello frontale. Si inizia a lavorare in tondo da sotto il giromanica, per il corpo della maglia. Si riprendono poi le maglie delle maniche, che sono lavorate in tondo. Il bordo dello scollo è ripiegato, mentre quello del corpo della maglia e delle maniche è un bordo a coste particolare. Indosso la M-L. Le misure della circonferenza della maglia sono date in cm e del capo finito e lavato, per cui potete valutare l’agio che volete ottenere confrontandolo con la vostra circonferenza seno.
