When newly qualified lawyer Gil Cunningham finds the body of a young woman in Glasgow’s Cathedral he is asked to investigate. Thus starts the 15th-century murder mystery “The Harper’s Quine” by Pat Mcintosh where Gil has to ask lots of questions and must sort through many facts, all apparently disconnected from one another. But finally he puts the pieces together, is able to find the hidden pattern and thus disentangles the complex murder case.

At first glance, the pattern of this reversible scarf looks like simple stockinette with some horizontal ribs, but when you turn it over you’ll find an intricately interwoven pattern – just as Gil in his historical adventure.

The pattern has fully written and charted directions - it’s up to you to choose which you prefer to work from.

This pattern as well as the Elderflower Wine and the Compline socks were designed for The Gil Cunningham Mysteries Group. Go join them in an outing to Medieval Glasgow, the time and surroundings of these murder mysteries.
