This one’s a fun colorwork hat - a super quick knit that allows you to play with all those leftover or single skeins of gorgeous color you may have in stash! It’s easily modified for depth or width, and the possibilities for color combinations are endless…

I used Artifact, Nest, and Woodsmoke.

Genever was designed to celebrate my Designer of the Month feature this March over at Stephen & Penelope, the charming yarn shop in Amsterdam owned by Malia Mather and Stephen West, and it features a lovely little stranded colorwork motif from Andrea Rangel’s fantastic stitch dictionary, Alterknits.

Genever came to be because I wandered around the hills of Shetland with Andrea and Malia, and it’s a special design that reminds me of a really wonderful week with friends in an incredible place.

Because Genever was designed for Stephen and Penelope, if you decide to buy the yarn to make it from them, they have a Ravelry code to share with you for $2 off the purchase of the pattern. (no expiration on that, it just IS).
