Gemstone
Lotta H Löthgren wanted to create a shawl design for knitters and spinners to use the yarn they have at hand, even if they’re uncertain about the exact yardage or the exact gauge it will knit up to. The repeated, geometric pattern of the Gemstone shawl is elevated by using a hand-spun, multi-coloured yarn as CC. It reminds Lotta of the many sharp, shiny facets of a gemstone — how the light reflects, bounces and plays on the surfaces, just as it does as the yarn changes colour.
