The Backstory:

First off, an early happy birthday and congratulations to Dani who is about to have her second daughter! This design was inspired by my yarn wife and design model @gemmadarlings.

GemmaD is my SunnyD! ☀️

She’s done so much to help me that I couldn’t help myself but design something influenced by her. As a thank you for helping keep me sane, the shawl is a textured ribbing pattern in sock yarn held double and lace pattern in the yarn held single gorgeously dyed by Sam of Lavender Lune Yarn Co.

I’m not gonna lie, I still have the shawl and wear it all the time. If Dani ever wants it for keeps, she knows she can have it, but she hasn’t accepted my offer of giving it to her. So to anyone reading this, DM Dani and make her take her shawl. Thank you, haha!
