Geisel
by Sima Brason
Geisel is a three color mitt constructed in the round using DK weight yarn. “Geisel” was Dr. Seuss’s birth name and remains my favorite childhood author.
As children, my sister built a library of books. As her assistant (of course she was older), I honored each of these hard covers with their very own index card.
I dedicate this design to my sister, a book lover and published poet who instilled in my heart the written word and the joy it can bring.
Theodore Geisel was born in Springfield, MA to German immigrants.
A huge thank you to joanforgionefor her invaluable guidance and her eye behind the camera-her daughter modeled the mitts and did a fantastic job!
