The Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi, inspired this sweater. A master of texture, color, and meandering organic forms, he combined stone, colored mosaics, and ironwork to phantasmagoric effect. I have used the progression of this simple rib into a labyrinthine trellis to suggest a touch of Gaudi genius.
