You can make this pattern for any size head you want, all you need to do is measure your head and knit the 4 row pattern however many times it takes to get the length you need.
The pattern is fairly simple accept for the “chain/braid” part. This is based off of some crochet techniques.
I used the 18 peg 1/2” gauge loom, but honestly any loom will work for this pattern that has at least 18 pegs.
I used 1 full skein of the Lions Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. I had enough left over to turn the ear warmer into a hat.
This is part of a book, so once you get the base stitch pattern you can get every pattern in the book.
