Gaily Striped Ankle Warmers
Pattern states slippers fit a size 5 foot (1948 UK sizing)
Materials: thick cord for soles, 4 oz MC in 3 ply fingering; odd balls in different shades for stripes and ankle cords. Pair of “heel grips”.
Gauge for crochet soles is 3 trebles to 1”.
Soles are crocheted, uppers are knit with “wool trebled”, knit from top down, then sewn to soles. Cords are made using 6 strands of yarn twisted together, then folded in half and twisted again.
