Frosty Night Cowl
A soft and lacy moebius cowl, with great drape! The simple stitch pattern avoids the problem many crochet moebius patterns have with half the cowl appearing to be “wrong side out”. Instead, it’s fully reversable, and both above and below the center line has the same texture.
The models were made with A)laceweight yarn and a 5.00mm hook, and B)dk weight yarn and a 6.00mm hook. Because of the moebius construction, from the centerline outwards, the cowl can be made any width, from skinny scarf to full hood.
Because it’s a true moebius, each row encompasses the full “figure 8” shape, and adds to both the top and bottom edge of the piece. A simple reverse single crochet edging finishes the entire edge. The cowl is seamless, having only beginning and finishing yarn ends to weave in.
The directions for the stitch pattern are simple and clearly written, but no chart is included.
