Frosty Mornings Sweater
Frosty Mornings is a jumper with a circular yoke that combines stranded colourwork and cables.
Construction
Frosty Mornings is worked top-down in two colours; a tubular cast-on gives a stretchy edge at the neck ribbing, and short rows raise the back neck. When the yoke is complete, the sleeves are put on hold and underarm stitches are cast on for the body. When the body is finished, the sleeves are returned to the needles and underarm stitches are picked up. Sleeves are shaped with decreases down to the cuff. The neck, cuffs and hem are in corrugated ribbing.

Gauge
20 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette in the round, after blocking
1 repeat of 12 sts in Cable pattern measures 6 cm / 2.5” wide.
Needles
3.25 mm / US 3 circular needles
4 mm / US 6 circular needles (or needle size to obtain stockinette gauge)
4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles
5 mm / US 8 circular needles
The needle sizes above will be stated in the pattern below, but make sure to adjust your needle sizes for the correct gauge. Multiple needle sizes are used to minimise the difference in tension between stranded colourwork cables and stockinette. Ensure you choose the size of needles that will allow your knitting to lie flat without bucking or puckering at the transition points.
Notions
Stitch markers, cable needle, scrap yarn, stitch holders, darning needle for sewing in ends.
