From the pattern description: In Orenburg, a future bride would knit her future husband a pair of gloves and a scarf as a wedding gift that would display her knitting skills to his family. There is a “wedding ring” knitted on the ring finger of the right hand.
Needles: Two sets of 5 double pointed needles, 4 and 8 inches (10 and 20 cm) long, size 1 (2.25 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished size: 9 inches (22.9 cm) hand circumference
Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
