Fringe Bag
by Boye
This is a rectangular, garter stitch, tote bag with small flap that is knitted lengthwise and then seamed on the sides. There is optional fringe or decoration on flap. A separate stockinette strap is stitched on afterwards. Instructions include notes on varying the size of the bag.
- This is the first pattern in a ‘learn to knit’ book. It teaches garter stitch, simple decreasing (on the flap), and seaming.
- Gauge is not critical.
- This is a small tote (7.5” height), with a 30” strap, designed for children. There are instructions for changing the dimensions.
- The pattern is instructions only, no charts.
