Framework scarf
FRAMEWORK is an attractive asymmetric chevron unisex scarf. Alternating stockinette and 2 color brioche stitches give a rich and colorful texture. You don’t have to follow the pattern strictly, but you can experiment with colors and the number of repetition within each sector. This is a framework which supports your own design and enables you to make use of yarn leftovers and to blend different colors and stitches. Pattern is written in English (no chart), stitch by stitch, row by row. I have provided you with some photos and video links for important stitches.
You need :
- Yarns - this sample is made with:
a) MC1 (main color) yarn: Mondial extrafine (50gr/175m ~191,38yds), fingering weight woolenyarn, in color 24 (cyclamen), in total ~1 1/3 balls (228m/250yds);
b) MC2 (main color) yarn: Mondial super extrafine in color 755 (petrol blue); in total 1 ball 50gr/175m~191,38yds;
c) CC1 (contrast color) yarn: Mondial Ciao Aloe (100g/420m ~459yds), fingering weight woolen yarn, in total ~ ½ ball ~ 50gr / 210m~230yds, colorway 972;
d) CC2 (contrast color) yarn: Mondial Sky (effect yarn with sequins, 50gr/155m~170yds), sport weight, in total ~ 1 ball in dark petrol blue 0928;
e) TC (third color) – optional: Instead of MC yarn, a third color of yarn was used for two rows inserted in the middle of stockinette sector to emphasize shape. It can be different yarn from your stash, colorful or solid, in different weigh (from DK, sport, fingering to lace moher); it takes about ~2m/80” from each for 2 rows – in total 14x2m=28m~31yds;
Notice this: Use MC1 with CC1 and MC2 with CC2. You can also use only one type of MC and CC yarn, in the same amount (yardage). It will be faster, without ends…The final design depends only on your imagination!
