PATTERN STORY
Sometimes I want to wear a knit hoodie, but I do not want to knit one. It was time to create a quick and easy hood pattern to scratch that itch. If you like the pattern, you can also check out my Foxwood Scarf.

CONSTRUCTION
The hood is knit as a rectangle. Sides are picked up and knit flat until you join in the round. The band is then picked up and knit. The front flaps are then sewn down.
YARN
Cascade 220 Worsted in Black, 200 m / 220 yds per 100g
Sample used 360 m / 396 yds and 180g
GAUGE & NEEDLES
Gauge is 18 sts x 23 rows per 10 cm / 4 in in pattern
Needle A: 4.5 mm / US 7 with a 40 cm / 16 in cable
Needle B: 3.5 mm / US 4 with a 40 cm / 16 in cable
