Center portion of doily consists of 4 center motifs which consist of 10 rows of open, corner and solid mesh which resembles a 4 leaf clover. Border of center motifs consist of chain loops, double crochet and hdc stitches. Remainder of doily consists of single crochet, chain, double crochet and filet crochet stitches for a total of 41 rows. Total number of motifs: 16.

According to pattern, rows 11-14: turn square into circle by working 4 rows open meshes across each side as per bold type on diagram.
