Pattern will be available in Knit Companion.
Inspired by the beautiful forests in the Pacific Northwest and the many secluded hiking and ski trails within.
Forest Park is such a fun reversible cowl to make and to wear. Choose your colors and have fun! Only one color of yarn is used on any given row for the dramatic, textured colorwork. Colorwork is both charted and written out.
The cowl is completely reversible; and colors are also reversed on the second side. It is worked in the round, in one piece, from the bottom up and with a built-in fold line for neat and easy wearing. The two sides are joined at the end. You could even work it one-sided in a DK or worsted yarn and do an Italian Bind Off at the end instead of the fold line.
This cowl is a great way to use up stash and leftover yarn too…maybe even use a set of gradient yarn. The pattern is written for sport weight yarn but can be made in any weight. Size and yarn usage will vary with differences in gauge and yarn choices.
This is an intermediate level pattern that could be accessible to an advanced beginner knitter.
This pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested.
