Fog Cutter
This one is a striking but simple sweater that’s just perfect for a foggy day at the beach or a cool summer night.
Fog Cutter is versatile, flattering, and easy to throw on. It features a beautiful combination of cables, lace, and texture in a panel that undulates like waves over small stones. A split hem, some ribbed detail, and boldly seamed shoulders also add to the interest on this design, and reverse stockinette on sleeves and back keep the focus on the details.
My friend Gabriella is wearing the sweater high on the hip with 5” of positive ease for a nice, easy fit, but altering things for either width or depth is easy and instructions are included in the pattern.
O-wool balance is one of my favorite summer yarns - with a perfect 50/50 mix of organic cotton and organic merino. It shows off a pattern beautifully, and has the perfect twist and drape for a polished but casual garment. My sweater is knit in Natural, a creamy off-white that’s kind of perfect with a hint of summer tan….
(Although if you wanted to knit this as a winter sweater, I’m betting it would also look pretty great in Jocelyn’s O-Wool Worsted too!)
The sweater is knit in 4 pieces and seamed together at shoulders and along underarms/sides.
