Flower Jacket
Pattern description from Mason-Dixon Knitting: “Don’t worry! The instructions look long here, but none of them are hard. You will get great experience at following a pattern. The flower jacket is embellished with one pansy (front), on daisy patch (sleeve), and a posy of three cosmos (back). You can combine these elements as shown or any other way that you like. You can also add lace edgings or ruffles to the bottom, cuffs, or collar if you wish (see instructions for the Dragon Jacket and Moses Basket: Stovetop Version for edging ideas - there are many choices). Here are the instructions for the elements shown on the jacket in the photograph. Use bits of yarns that you have on hand to make these little flowers. For the cosmos in our example, we used a single skein of Noro Kureyon, a self-striping, multicolored yarn. The different colors were separated into strands of related colors. This way we got three flowers of different colors from a single skein of yarn. Clever, no?”
Notions: Double-pointed needles, crochet hook
Gauge: Doesn’t matter.
